An intimate evening of world-class classical piano, drinks, and dessert
We have the unique pleasure of hosting the renowned Ukrainian concert pianist, Anna Fedorova, for an intimate evening of piano, drinks, and dessert, in support of the Davidsbündler Foundation, a non-profit organization based in the Hague founded by Anna and her husband Nicholas Schwartz, dedicated to offering top training and a stimulating environment for exceptionally talented young classical pianists and string players.
Anna needs little introduction; the recording of her live performance of Rach 2 with Concertgebouw has been viewed over 43 million times. The Davidsbündler Foundation — which is the recipient of 100% of the proceeds — provides scholarships for students from low-income families, including Ukrainian refugees who have fled to the Netherlands.
While in Hong Kong performing with Hong Kong Phil last week, Anna extended a personal invitation to you.

About Anna
From an early age, the Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova showed an innate musical maturity and amazing technical abilities. She regularly performs at the world’s most prestigious concert halls such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, New York’s Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center, Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Tonhalle Zürich, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, and London’s Barbican Centre & Royal Albert Hall.
As a soloist, Anna has performed with many wonderful orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, Verbier Festival Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony, Yomiuri Orchestra, Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, Utah Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and the Netherlands Philharmonic. Nicknamed the “house pianist” (Telegraaf) of the Concertgebouw, Anna has given over 45 concerts there, often live broadcasted.
She is a regular guest at leading music festivals such as Verbier and Menuhin Festivals in Switzerland, Stift Music Festival in the Netherlands, Festival de Sintra in Portugal, and Ravinia Festival in the US.
Anna graduated from the Lysenko School of Music in Kyiv with Borys Fedorov and the Accademia Pianistica in Imola, Italy, with Leonid Margarius. She received her Master’s degree and Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music, London, under the guidance of Norma Fisher. Her mentors include Alfred Brendel, Menahem Pressler, Steven Isserlis, and Sir András Schiff.
About the Davidsbündler Music Academy and Foundation
Anna and her husband, Nicholas Schwartz (a double bassist at Concertgebouw), are founders and artistic directors of the academy and foundation, a pioneering music school and non-profit organization dedicated to offering top training and a stimulating environment for exceptionally talented young classical pianists and string players.
In Anna and Nicholas’s words: “The idea of the Davidsbündler society was created by Robert Schumann. In his writings, the fictional members of the Davidsbündler were people representatives of free-spirited, progressive and open-minded society. These ideals are essential qualities of true artists and embody the modus operandi of the school… We believe that it is vital to develop both the technical side and creative/artistic side simultaneously. Great and focused teaching together with top musical experiences is the way to grow as an artist and communicator. With professional style performance opportunities, these young musicians also get a head start in their careers.”
At the academy, students receive between 40-120 hours of one-on-one lessons throughout the season and are offered concert opportunities, including live radio and television broadcasts and chamber music programs with some of the great musicians of our time.
The Davidsbündler Foundation awards scholarships to deserving low-income students and underrepresented. For €125, a young promising musician receives a private instrument lesson from an acclaimed professor. A €10,000 scholarship can enable a student to complete the full academic program for an entire year.
Supporters of the foundation include world-famous musicians like Steven Isserlis and Norma Fisher.
